BYRON'S HOCKEYLAND
BOURQUE NEW STYLE:
This is a new style Bourque that was shown to us to authenticate while at the Super Bowl in Miami, January 99. The jersey is, just like the others posted here, a custom crafted special.

Notice in this picture the red on the sleeve. Its the same shade
of red that we are use to seeing in Custom Crafted Specials. Except this time
its been melted into the jersey. Notice the hole in the white boarder just below
the red mark. This was a good attempt at faking a board burn.

It might be hard in this picture but just above the words
LETTERING BY there was a light red stain, like whom from when the red mark on
the sleeve was burned into the jersey, the person then used the same heat press
machine to put on the Custom Crafted logo. The stain is tuff to see in this
picture, but it was there.

The jersey had the classic wrinkles on the from crest and captain's "C

Another thing that you see in Custom Crafted specials is cuts,
like the one above.
Some of the other things wrong with this jersey was it had all kinds of pilling around the neck, which we rarely see in NHL Game Worn Jersey. There was no salt in the fight strap, so that would lead me to believe that no one ever wore this jersey while sweating. Based on the information I compiled on this jersey it was my opinion that this was indeed a Custom Crafted Special, or a faked jersey and not a game worn Bourque jersey.
